Alterations & Repairs

A great way to practice sustainability and anti-consumerism is either altering or repairing the garments you own. Tailoring and having garments constructed specifically to our individual bodies was once commonplace, but fast fashion's mass production has seen that practice almost disappear. However, we all still have our specifically unique bodies, and making slight adjustments to our clothing can make them feel completely different and renew our desire to wear pieces that have never felt "quite right."

Repairing damaged favorites or second hand finds is a beautiful way to give new life to pieces we love. Whether through visible mending, patches or more discrete repairs, we can honor the clothing's history and the resources that went into making it.
