I am a seamstress and sewing enthusiast. I was raised by a stay at home mom who sewed constantly for me and my sisters as well as our large collection of dolls. At an early age, part of our home school curriculum included learning to sew, and once I realized I could make whatever I wanted to with this skill, I was hooked.

My other inspiration has been my dad who has always been the fix-it type. He saves random bits and pieces from scraps of wood, to pieces of rubber, parts from fans, cars, lamps because "you just never know when you'll need it." And chances are if you need something fixed, he will have some random piece that is exactly what you need. He taught me ingenuity and creative problem solving. He taught me to see potential in the little things. He taught me to make do with what I had. To fix the old things instead of replacing them.

The example of both my parents is melded into who I am as a creator and seamstress. My creative focus is on up-cycling and sustainability and I base my projects around the goal of using as much repurposed material as possible. I source from, donations, thrift stores, rummage sales, and my own wardrobe! With so much textile waste ending up in landfills, my mission is to re-imagine materials that have already been produced and are now unwanted, ultimately reducing waste instead of sourcing new materials and adding more waste to the world. This leads to each of my creations being completely unique as each individual material is different and speaks its own vision to me. That's part of the fun, because each piece surprises even me!

The Faithfully Yours studio is conveniently located off 9W in Port Ewen, NY. Nestled between the Shaupeneake Ridge and the scenic Hudson River, the studio is easily reached from the Stone Ridge, Woodstock, Kingston, New Paltz and Poughkeepsie areas.
